We collect the minimum personal information needed to run our advisory practices, we don't sell it, and you can ask to see or correct it at any time.
Valeron Group Pty Ltd ("Valeron", "we", "us") is an Australian advisory firm with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We collect information you give us directly: your name, role, company, email address, phone number and the contents of enquiries you submit through this website or by email. If you use our free tax refund estimator, we also collect the figures you enter (income, tax withheld, deductions and related toggles) and the estimate shown to you. For clients, we additionally collect the information needed to deliver engaged services (for example financial records for accounting engagements, or property details for property engagements), under the terms of the engagement letter.
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, deliver engaged services, administer the client portal, and meet legal obligations (including under tax, anti-money-laundering and corporations law). We do not sell personal information. We contact people about our services only where they have asked us to — for example by ticking the consent box on the refund estimator — and you can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@valerongroup.com.au.
Website enquiry submissions are processed by Netlify (our hosting provider). Client portal data is stored with Supabase in encrypted form, with access restricted by role-based controls. Both providers may store data on infrastructure outside Australia; we choose providers with security certifications appropriate to professional-services data.
This website does not use advertising trackers. Strictly necessary cookies may be set by the client portal to keep you signed in. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing info@valerongroup.com.au. If you believe we've breached the APPs, contact us first; if unresolved, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
We update this policy when our practices change. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
